Cheap O' Business Wanttabee's Resources Page.

If you don't want to spend any money, but still want to grow earthworms this page is for you.

Warning before going any farther:

If you have Class, Money and a good reputation, you'll never survive here. This is just for those that want somethin for nothin and I'll show them how to get it!

Something for everybody, even the faith of heart. This is one of the few pages on the net where you can become Healthy, Wealthy and Wise and NOT spend a dime...

Okay, so you might be interested a little bit, some of it sounds fine, but building the beds and doing all of that scientific stuff, just don't cut it! Besides environmentalist do weird things! They are always getting dirty. Ah come on now, you know you would Love to roll in the mud, if you could get away with it, without anyone seeing you. I do it, even if they are watching me! But then I love to SHOCK people anyway, must have something to do with my childhood, whoops, that's another page or two, how about a whole book or two...library of Congress might work!

I don't allow earthworm growing to take over my life, don't get me wrong, I love them, but they have to fit into my thing, not me into their thing..

So, if you are as I, NO, not cheap! Just ecologically minded, with a very conservative side, that dictates that you don't EVER take a brand new piece of plywood and cut it up for anything, let alone a bunch of worms. Then read on, don't tell all those guys that are spending all that money or they might get mad...

Good sources of worm bins, take a walk in your favorite woods, see all of those old refrigerators, bathtubs, freezers, all of that neat stuff that someone else so considerately left there just to share with you and everybody else, just so our tax dollars will be well spent, tracking them down and giving them free room and board for awhile...

Well, grab some of that stuff, I know its disgusting, but trust me Okay? Drag it home, remove all of the insides, insulation, wiring, compressors, etc., call the local junk dealer and give this stuff to him, (see made a new friend) and your already recycling. Knew you could do it! Keep the door with the empty shell, you'll be using it later. Now position this monstrosity between your garden spot, okay the spot that someday will be your garden spot and the rest of your yard, starting to get a hint? Like the grass clipping go in from the yard side and the garden refuge goes in from the other. Remember this is an exercise in cleaning up the environment, which means conserving energy, especially yours and mine!

Now you have this big ugly piece of something out in the middle of your yard, neighbors love it!

Okay, now for the landscaping, we aren't going to hide it, we are going to enhance it, after all you want people to ask about it, it's your proof that your a good guy/gal, and a real environmentalist. With it being the center piece in mind, start putting rocks, plants, herbs, etc. around the ends, leaving a small walkway up to the thing in the middle, paint it a shade of paint that compliments the rocks, timbers, plants, etc. Paint some big bright daisies on the sides and the words "My Big Old Worm Thing" on it., or?

Now you are a nice guy/gal with a conversation piece, won't do any good if you don't have the conversation part, still don't like to spend that money on worms? Fine, find someone that is giving away horse, cow, goat or rabbit manure, the odds are that it will have lots of red worms in it. Go get it, put the worms and some of the manure in the centerpiece and the rest on that garden spot, that looks so barren behind it now... See you just became a conservative, environmentalist, with a great yard and garden....An upstanding citizen of the community with lots to talk about. Now you can talk organics, worms and recycling like all the rest of us. Only took a few minutes and a pick-up.

Welcome to my world.

Okay ready for a great way to get Manure TEA, No you don't drink it, its for those plants out front that aren't looking so hot, but you being a good guy/gal now, don't want to put any of that nasty artificial, chemical fertilizers on them and a pile of horse manure to greet your guests at your front doors just AIN'T it.

Good, remember that old bathtub that was in your favorite place to walk in the woods, go get it, we'll have that whole mess cleaned up real quick! When you get it home, put it up on something, you know that stuff laying around, you want it high enough to put a five gallon bucket under the drain hole, now go get some more of that manure, fill the tub up half way with it, put the plug in first, making sure the plug has a long pull chain on it. Now, get your hose and fill the tub up half way with water, let it soak for a few minutes and pull the plug, did you remember to put the bucket under the hole?

A couple of buckets work best, so that you can trade them off when they get 3/4 way full, we don't want manure tea slopping all over those new shoes, now do we? Go dump it on your plants and water it in. You will have pretty plants and get lots of fresh air (you breath real deep when your away from the tub) and lots of exercise...Soak the manure several times, then toss it into your worm bin., you have just fed them leached manure, just put it on one end. Now you have a great front yard, a great conversation piece in your back yard, a great earthworm bin, a great garden and you are in great health, must make you a great guy/gal.

Now did you happen to notice any old dryers with the drums in them, or washers with the drums, we want some drums... get some and plant some herbs, in them, these are great for a great person, who has a great sunburn, with a great big sore back and who has a real need for a great remedy.

Now your in a great business. Earthworms and herbs...Just hope you don't run into to many people like you and me, or we will never sell anything....then we would have to eat all of that healthy stuff and not have the money for junk food, and then they would dump their junk food makers, stoves, refrigerators, etc., in the woods and we would end up working ourselves to death and NEVER making any money..

Keep it clean, it belongs to all of us... If you carry it in, carry it out with some of theirs...Judy
